Cardstock
Early Espresso
Cut (1) at 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” (card base)
Cut (1) at 3” x 8-1/2”, score at 4-1/4”
Cut (1) at 3” x 4-1/4” (matte for inside sentiment)
Basic White
Cut (3) at 2-3/4” x 4” (these are for the front and two inside panels)
Designer Series Paper
Cut (1) at 11-1/2” x 4”
Score (moving paper from right to left): 1-1/2”, 3”, 4-1/2” and 6”
Ink
Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Basic Gray ink pads; Gray Granite Blends (I mainly used the light). Mango Melody, Balmy Blue. Optional: Staz-On Black for greetings/sentiments.
• • • • •INSTRUCTIONS
On each of the (3) 2-3/4” x 4” Basic White pieces:
Lightly apply Mango Melody (sun), Balmy Blue (sky) & Gray Granite (ground) using blending brushes or sponges.
Stamp the big “grassy scene” from Grassy Grove stamp set in Mossy Meadow (see picture for ideas on where to place—the stamp is bigger than the paper).
Front piece only: Stamp the bear from Wildlife Wonder in Early Espresso slightly overlapping the “grassy grove grass.” Stamp the “grass” from Wildlife Wonder stamp set in Old Olive randomly around the bear.
Second piece only (inside, left): Stamp greeting/sentiment in either Early Espresso or Staz-On black.
Third piece only (inside, right): Stamp the Owl from Wildlife Wonder in Basic Gray. Stamp sentiment/greeting in Early Espresso or Staz-On black.
All three pieces: Adhere to the 3” x 4-1/4” Early Espresso mat. Set aside.
2. Designer Series Paper (DSP):
Fold the long DSP piece in accordion fashion along scored lines (mountain, valley, mountain, valley), apply liquid glue to backside of large end (or unfolded end), adhere to the Early Espresso base.
3. 3 x 8-1/2” Early Espresso (card base):
On left side of scoreline, adhere the Basic White with bear image.
On the right side of scoreline, adhere the Basic White with greeting.
Apply liquid glue only on the backside of the left portion of the bear image (see picture). Adhere leaving equal space on top, left, and bottom of first accordion fold.
Keeping the accordion closed, open the Early Espresso and lay flat, exposing the backside. Apply liquid glue to the backside (of the right portion) of the greeting image. Gently close the Early Espresso making sure it is even (not twisted, or off center).
Place the backside of the third image (owl) over the previous image and line up exactly. Apply liquid glue, gently close the card while holding the bottom (of the owl piece). This will enable you to line up exactly.
Stamp birthday wishes in Early Espresso on piece of scrap. Cut down to size. Make flags on ends. Adhere to front with Dimensionals.
4. Stamp birthday wishes in Early Espresso on piece of Basic White scrap. Cut down to size.
5. Optional: Add Brush Brass Butterflies to front.
